I’ve been in quite a reflective mood this week and keep coming back to the same thought that “nothing worth having in life comes easily”.
This applies to almost everything: Your dream job, your dream car, your dream house, a healthy relationship... but above all, this applies to your fitness goals! For all of the others there are loopholes, cheat codes, ways around - like winning the lottery, knowing the right person, getting a good deal.
With fitness there are no loopholes... no ways around... the only option is hard work! (Inb4: “Steroids”... WRONG... Yes, steroids/PEDs etc will aid your performance but they don’t just make you strong and muscley while you lie on the sofa eating chocolate... they fall into the category of “supplements” - the same as protein powder and multivitamins... you still need to put in the work to achieve your goals)
I think this is so often overlooked in the fitness industry... examples:
•”Top 5 Fat Burning Foods”
•”Best Exercise to Burn Fat”
At the end of the day, there are a lot of things out there that fall into the “supplements” category... and they do exactly that - 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 your training.
Will they assist you in achieving to your goal? Maybe, but unless you’re working at 100% of what your capable of, I guarantee that a little extra hard work would help far more than any “supplement” ever could!
In short: stop looking for ways around, put in the work, get results... simple :)
Some examples of what I mean by “supplements”:
•Protein Powder, Vitamins etc etc
•Anything that isn’t Hard Work and a Healthy, Balanced Diet that is in line with your goals.
