💪Resistance Training💪 . A.K.A. lifting weights, throwing steel, doing work, getting swole, jacked and tan … You get the idea. . Resistance training provides the stimulus for the body to build more muscle. Now, understand that the body is constantly in-flux meaning that your tissues are perpetually degrading and building at the same time. The rate of each side of that equation will determine the outcome. “Maintaining” is really a misleading term because you are replacing tissue with new tissue all the time. It is never static. . Training (during) – increased degradation . Training (after) – Damage done increases “building” but needs appropriate nutrition to optimize process. . This means that if you train like a savage, but your nutrition is garbage you probably won’t make the gains you want. You can’t out-train a bad diet. 💯🥩 . If you are trying to lose weight or lean out, the goal is to maximize muscle growth – ESPECIALLY IN WOMEN! Why?... because women’s bodies are already fighting a losing battle when it comes to their hormonal makeup to hold a lot of muscle mass. Ladies, you need to get off the damn treadmill and lift some weights! You won’t get “bulky”. You’ll get the long, lean lines you want if you train hard and eat right. . Guys, get yourself to the gym consistently, push some weight, and don’t eat like an a$$hole. . What to do: . Ideally, train each body part twice a week using a hypertrophic approach Work your way up to this level if you have not been resistance training for a while. Just get started. . Learn proper technique. Hire a coach or check out some of the more reputable resources online like @untamedstrength, @startingstrength, @barbell_medicine, and @bretcontreras1 . Começamos a vida competindo por sobrevivência, o que inclui comida, água, caverna ou um pedaço de chão para se proteger das feras e, na época, uma fêmea saudável para garantir a perpetuação da espécie. Em seguida, passamos a competir pela aceitação das tribos formadas nas sociedades primárias, o que poderia nos garantir proteção até certo ponto embora isso custasse uma vida de sacrifícios imposta pelo ser humano no seu estado mais primitivo. Com o tempo, o homem passou a entender o significado do poder e as lideranças foram se estabelecendo com a imposição da força e da união de certos interesses. E o poder, por sua vez, gerava ainda mais competição, pois a partir do momento em que o ser humano assumia a comando da tribo ou de qualquer coisa que o valha, ele passava a demonstrar a sua verdadeira face. A natureza competitiva do ser humano é antropológica. Como eu sempre faço questão de lembrar, quem foi o primeiro a chegar ao óvulo da mãe? Você, o único a derrotar milhares de candidatos naquela maratona olímpica “espermatozoidal”. Na prática, você chegou na frente e mergulhou de cabeça no óvulo mais cobiçado daquelas redondezas. Portanto, eu você somos frutos daquilo que Richard Dawkins, escritor e cientista britânico, denomina de “o gene egoísta” que permite consolidar a natureza competitiva do ser humano. Desde que nasceu, sua natureza competitiva sempre se manifestou de diferentes formas: através do choro por alguns mililitros de leite materno ou alguns momentos de colo, através de uma mordida no braço do seu irmão ou mesmo de um simples empurrão no seu amiguinho de infância, na frente da câmera, apenas porque você queria sair sozinho na foto. Em razão de tudo isso, somos “moldados a ferro e marteladas”, como diria Ralph Waldo Emerson, pensador norteamericano.
