Debunking health/fitness myths ⁉️⁣ ⁣ I spent a lot of years believing that carbs were evil, trying to cut them down on every occasion. It was only after starting my health & fitness journey that I realised carbs were not something to fear. Actually, these days I load tf up on my carbs and for those that do for eg keto diets - I don’t know how ya’ll survive 😅⁣ ⁣ I want to do some posts now and again debunking a few myths that I fell for. 🧐 today - the reason why carbs aren’t your enemy:⁣ ⁣ ✖️ Carbs are our main source of energy, we literally need them to function efficiently⁣ ✖️ Your need to eat to gain muscle, it’s just that simple, I find carbs are such an easy way to feel satisfied and full for a long time⁣ ✖️ Carbs promote the production of serotonin - which makes are mood boosters⁣ ✖️ A lot of people avoid carbs because they think it’ll make them gain lots of weight - this isn’t true. Anything re: weight loss, it’s all about energy (ie cals) in vs energy out. The reason why keto diets “work” is because they lead to a cut in cals⁣ ✖️ Carbs are just one part of a genuinely balanced diet 🥗🍲⁣ ⁣ What’s important is jus you make sure you’re eating in a balanced way, to fuel your body with all the nutrients it’s needs. ✨ Do you have a Sunday ritual? The things you do every week so you can start the week off feeling a little less crazy? Every Sunday I *try* to: . 😴 sleep in! Super important since I wake up around 5AM most week days. . 🙏🏻 keep plans to a minimum. Much of my week is running from one job or thing to another. On Sundays I try to keep things simple. . 🧺 do laundry. Y’all know how much I hate doing laundry 🤦‍♀️ I used to only do laundry once ever two weeks but that made folding a 2 hour extravaganza. Doing laundry once a week has made it feel like less of a hassle. I’d still like to manifest a new apartment with washer/dryer for 2020 though 😜 . 🥑 go food shopping. But sometimes this doesn’t happen until Monday 🙈 . 🔮 plan out my week. Every week I write out my teaching schedule, workouts, fun plans, etc. Since I don’t work a traditional 9-5 weeks can be super different and all over the place. I find looking at my week mapped out gives me a sense of calm — I know I can conquer the week. . 💗 relax. I try to end Sunday relaxing and winding down. Sometimes it happens. Sometimes it doesn’t. But it’s a nice thing to aim for. . 👉🏻 how bout you? What are you Sunday rituals?

Another day, another garage pic 😉 always with the BFF! He might not like it cuz I’m no longer quiet, but let’s just say conversations are a tad more adult now.... as tad as it can be to not throw myself under the bus for before! And I wasn’t quiet when I met him. I became quiet as I built up a shell! It’s a tad hard to explain ❤️ level/clear headed! Products ran out, but I’m not in the hole I once was. I swam to the top 🙏🏻 still learning like I will forever, just not drowning ❤️❤️❤️ and feeling better that my hair is now 1 color instead of 2 😂😂😂😂 @selenaroddd I told her it was a foot grown out 😂😂😂 just like my hydrangeas... the whole picture will look better when we focus on the things important to us. If it’s a really good looking bunch of growing flowers, or your personal appearance! Whatever it is... if you focus and want it, you can have it... but to keep it, that’s the hard part! 🏆پل معکوس هالتر . 💪عضلات درگیر:سرینی . نکته آموزشی عمومی بدنسازی . ✔منظور از هایپرتروفی افزایش اندازه و سایز تار عضلانی یعنی تک تک اجزاء ریز داخل سلول عضله حجم بگیرند یا بر تعداد آنها اضافه شود که نهایتا حجم عضله بالاتر میرود.درواقع هایپرتروفی تدریجی ناشی از: ✔۱.افزایش فیلامنت های اکتین و میوزین ✔۲.افزایش سارکوپلاسم ✔۳.افزایش تعداد موئیرگ ها ✔۴.افزایش بافت هم بند . ✔ درمورد هماهنگی عصب و عضله مطالب زیادی بیان کردیم که حاکی از اهمیت بالای این موضوع میباشد...هایپرتروفی به خودی خود اتفاق نمیافتد مگر اینکه عصب هم با آن همراه باشد یعنی اگر مغز دستور ندهد یک هایپرتروفی معیوب اتفاق میافتد مثل هایپرتروفی پاتولوژی که در قلب اتفاق میافتد(اگر بدون فعالیت ورزشی قلب بزرگ شود به آن قلب پاتولوژیک میگویند و اگر بر اثر فعالیت ورزشی بزرگ شوند میگویند این قلب فیزیولوژیک است.)...اگر عصب همراهی کند و مغز دستور دهد به عضله یعنی عضله در نتیجه دستور مغز بزرگ شود این هایپرتروفی فیزیولوژیکِ که بسیار خوب است ولی اگر سیستم عصبی تقویت نشود و منحصرا بر روی عضله کار شود به نظر میرسد یک سیستم معیوب را تمرین میدهیم.بنابراین زمانی که از هایپرتروفی صحبت میکنیم منظور هایپرتروفی عصبی و هایپرتروفی عضلانی میباشد...هایپرتروفی عصبی:سلول های عصبی بیشتری فعال شوند و پیام ها با سرعت بیشتری از مغز به عضله انتقال پیدا کند. . ✔وقتی که عصب و عضله باهم هماهنگ باشند درصد آسیب دیدگی کاهش و قدرت فرد افزایش پیدا میکنه.همانطور که عضله به ریکاوری نیاز داره ،عصب هم به ریکاوری نیاز داره .ورزشکاری که همه چیزش اوکی هست(تمرین عالی،تغذیه مناسب ) و حجم خوبی هم میاره ولی بعد از مدتی ریزش عضله پیدا میکنه.یکی از دلایلش همین عدم توجه به ریکاوری عصب هاش میباشد...یکی از راههای ایجاد هماهنگی بین عصب و عضله ،انجام حرکات کامپند(چندمفصله)است چون در این حرکات عضلات اصلی و عضلات ثابت کننده همزمان با هم درگیر میشوند که این امر باعث ایجاد هماهنگی عصب و عضله میشود.مصرف پروتیین همانطور که باعث رشد عضله میشود به ریکاوری و کاهش خستگی عصبی نیز کمک میکند که برای این موضوع (BCAA) نقش بسیار مهمی دارد و ویتامین های گروه B هم تا حد زیادی به ریکاوری عصب کمک میکند.

SO pumped that my plateau has finally ended! 6 days into my new program and I’m down almost 2 pounds from last week (and a total of 37 lbs ⬇️)! I’m really happy with how quickly I’m seeing results, not just on the scale, but with the way my clothes fit, my energy levels, and my overall strength. I can’t wait to see where I’ll be at the 21 day mark, and moving forward with another program in the new year!

BROWNIE🍫LOAF❤️CAKE Oh WOW! A creamy, melty, chocolate brownie cake – the perfect recipe for those days when you just really need some chocolate brownie and not to feel guilty about it! Not only is this dessert absolutely delicious but its also very low in calories and nothing to feel guilty about. #Ad It's one of @resultswithlucy dessert recipes and it serves over 7 portions at 177 calories a slice and only takes about 30 mins to prep. A step by step guide below on how to make this delicious brownie: 1. Preheat oven to 180°c and grease and line a loaf tin. 2. Add all the ingredients apart from the dark chocolate to a bowl and beat until fully combined then fold in the chopped chocolate. 3. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until a skewer comes out clean when inserted into the centre. 4. Allow to cool in tin for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. 5. If using the white chocolate, place in a microwaveable bowl and heat in 10 second increments until melted then drizzle over the loaf. (I forgot to add the dark chocolate when mixing all the ingredients so I melted it and added it in top) Does it get any easier then that and also you have nothing to feel guilty about! #winning

You’ve got to be a beginner before you can be anything else 🤓. • • I heard today on a podcast, “the key to self love isn’t to figure out how to self love... the key to self love is acceptance... fully, truly, deeply, WHO YOU ARE.” • • Idk about you, but I need to hear things like this often. 💙 It helps remind me that I’m not going all in on my fitness journey to be skinny for other people, to make other people love me, to feel accepted by social media, or to make people jealous of my body, but rather for my own reasons. • • In the beginning, I had a goal to “get super fit for my wedding in Hawaii in June”, but I’m realizing this journey is so much more than that ONE thing. It’s to create a healthy and sustainable lifestyle that I carry with me FOREVER. It’s to inspire others to think positive and motivate them to do the same for themselves whenever they’re ready. It’s to build a business that I can own and LOVE so I can spend time with my family instead of being at a desk all day. • • I hope this helps inspire you to take a risk too.
