Tonight we flash back to 2017....to continue my story i’ve got my coaching business look like 2-2.5 years in... accompanied by a meaningful pic from that year too!!👬 .
After hitting my business goal in December of 2016 , I was fired up to keep that momentum going into a new year. My goal was to match my FT salary so I could plan my exit strategy. After opening my franchise, It didn’t take long to match my weekly take home pay… I worked for the state remember? 😆
At the end of January, I was put in a position by my employer that I was not willing to negotiate. Turns out there were some “whistleblowers” who did not like me, and did not like the success I had in my side business, so they tried to get me in trouble. I proved my innocence by showing the HR department how to schedule a post a head of time, and by sharing other pictures on my phone with time stamps on them. Totally ridiculous.....🙄
They asked me to QUIT my coaching business, even though there were people in my department who also had secondary employment, I was the only targeted. I knew in that meeting I had to make a decision. I was no longer going to work in an environment where people were TELLING me what to do, or using my PASSION against me. So, I QUIT!!! 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 .
I walked away from a 15-year career that was no longer serving me and DAMN it felt GOOD!! I had the rest of the year, 11 months, and all the time I needed to build the business I had dreamt about.
I got to work, I set business hours, I set goals, and I slowly moved my business forward that year. I earned an average of $2500 per month that year and still only worked a fraction of the hours, without the commute, and without someone telling me what to do, when to clock in, and how to live my life. .
I was FREE!! 🤸♀️
Was I making millions? Heck NO! I also had a house to take care of, a 2-year-old at home with me, and a 4-year-old in Pre-K. I had to work my business in the cracks of the day, around the school day, or during nap time, but it was MINE and no one could take it from me. (Cont in comments)
