Sometimes projects are nothing more than a good cupboard clean out. My latest challenge? The snack cupboard! Swipe ➡️ to see them before photo!
This was a great reminder about my goal of reducing how much we keep in the house.
Once on a podcast, @thefauxmartha talked about reducing what you keep on hand in general. Such as, only stock two kinds of cereal at one time to avoid having a bunch of open boxes. This resonated with me because this before picture drove me crazy! Thanks for the tip, Melissa!! Here’s what I did:
1. I took every single bag out of the cupboard and placed it on the counter.
2. I tossed everything that was stale and/or knew we wouldn’t eat.
3. I pulled out my @oxo pop containers and decided what would fit in each and only filled the ones we’d use.
4. I placed them back in the cupboard by size.
This cupboard has been a thorn in my side since we moved in. I love lazy susans but have a tough time organizing them. We don’t have another good spot for chips and snacks, so this is it.
The OXO pop containers were a great fit, plus I moved a lot of the kids’ foods down here to make them more accessible to them.
I’m really happy with the way it turned out! What organization tips do you have? I wanna know!
