The more I actually focus on the moment with all of my senses the more my body surprises me with its little achievement.
If you would have asked me 3 years ago what I wanted from working out I would immediately have said “lose 5 kilos, thinner legs, smaller butt, less curves please”.
But what my last post meant to say is that the moment I stopped obsessing about silly goals that meant nothing and stopped dwelling on the past (oh that C-scar is ugly and wtf this loose belly skin?) MY BODY STARTED TO GIFT ME WITH MEANINGFULL CHANGE ❤️
Today my legs are bigger than before, my butt has grown from smallish cantaloupe to full size watermelon, curves are worse and weight has gone up 2-3 kg.
But also I don’t have chronic lower back issue anymore, my herniated discs are healing, I can lift heaviest shiz and walk with my head high in a bikini. And my scale has got about 2 fingers of dust on it 🤣
If I had one piece of advice for anyone in fitness that would be: learn to love the process, be in the moment. Don’t obsess over the results, a PR or the number of workouts, or a calorie amount. Learn to live that experience and create your own meaningful ritual ... your health and body will pay you back without suffering for it.
